spider belly

I found this spider outside my front door. My plan was to use a technique I had read about in a Nature Photography book to calm it down, but I overdid it. I was distracted after I put it in the freezer, and it was in there too long and died.

Of course I did not want to waste the opportunity, so I took some pictures of it anyway. Same equipment as the mouse skull picture, but this time in natural (indoor) light.

I wonder if those are eggs in the center of the abdomen? One of the really cool things about macro photography is seeing things in the picture on the screen that you did not see through the viewfinder.
