Sunset from the Hills
We took a bit of a hike on SuperBowl Sunday. Took this from a trail in a park in the Oakland Hills. I had been on it before in a mountain bike, this was a different adventure. If you would like to read my take on the technical merits of the picture, click on it to be taken to flickr.

New life through a lens
Interestingly I was just reading in one of my Leica books of the risks he took introducing the Leica in the twenties. The economy was of course very rocky, high unemployment, and concern that it was not a good time to bring a new product to market. He did, and it was a success. I was wondering at that time if it would have mattered had more German firms taken similar risks.
Of course the risks he ran during the war were far greater, and more personal.

Wedding Pictures

As promised here is a wedding picture (and one from just before). If you were at the wedding, and have the password, you can log in to the photographer's website and buy pictures. If you were not at the wedding, and would like to do that, email one of us and we can get you the password. If you don't know us and want to buy some of our wedding pictures, that is a little weird.
We have ordered some prints, and they look great. These are low resolution jpegs, and are not a good example of what they might look like.

Black Tesla
Had a chance to go to the Tesla offices this weekend and take a ride. This is not one of the ones that was moving, it is a design mock up and the body is foam. I took the picture of this one because I want mine to be black. Everyone knows that black cars are invisible to the Highway Patrol right?
Or maybe they will cut me some slack 'cause it gets 135mpg (equivalent, its an electric car).
Photo by VC15mm on the M8, so 21mm equivalent. Now that I look at it, I should have pointed it a bit more to the left, though I do like the position of that front wheel.
