Crowd Shot

Someone asked for a crowd shot, but I really don't have any. It was more like a visibility event, with people spread all up and down the street. Here is the closest to a crowd shot that I got, it was taken pretty close to the Independence Grille where the Tea Party organizers had asked everyone to gather.

It would have been nice to be in front of them instead of behind them, but then I would have had to stand in the street to take the picture. Traffic was moving pretty slow, but it still did not seem a good idea.

Albuquerque Tea Party

The Tea Party here in Albuquerque was spread along Montgomery Boulevard for some distance. I took pictures from San Pedro to Louisiana, here are some of them. I heard estimates of 10,000 people attending. The response from the drivers along the route was quite positive, lots of horns honking.

The mood of the crowd was cheerful. Rather different from the RNC protests in Minnesota this summer. Not getting any teargas was another advantage.
